Yoga 101 and Yoga 102
Yoga 101 is an introduction to yoga for complete beginners; a four-week-long series of six classes.
Yoga 102 is a continuation of our introductory series for graduates of 101 or those returning to their practice from a long absence. Each series meets either on Sunday or Saturday for four consecutive weekends and includes two classes from our regular schedule of classes. Learn more.
Gentle
Gentle Classes are Level 1 classes that work slower and with more support to accomodate students who may find the Level 1 classes too challenging or for students who want a slower approach to learning how to feel and move different parts of their bodies.
Level 1
Level 1 gives the foundation to Iyengar yoga practice in basic standing, seated, and supine poses, headstand, shoulderstand, and salutations (jumpings). We recommend this level for 1/2 to 1 year.

Level 2
Level 2 teaches a deeper and expanded study of the standing and seated poses, head balancing, shoulderstand variations, and unsupported backbends. We recommend studing at this level for 2 years.
Level 3
Level 3 teaches a solid working knowledge of all postures, with emphasis on a regular practice of inversions and backbends. Some advanced postures will be introduced. Students should be developing a consistent, self-directed practice.
Level 4
Level 4 Students with self-directed daily practice only. Comfort with extended inversions and backward and forward extensions.
Prenatal
Prenatal is an all-level Iyengar yoga practice designed for the pregnant mother at any stage of pregnancy.
Postnatal
Postnatal is for recent mothers four weeks after vaginal birth or six to eight weeks after Cesarian. Bring your infant! Appropriate for all levels.
Toddler and Parent
Toddler and Parent is yoga for parents who can bring their active toddlers. Parents take turns guiding the children while others practice. |
